IS IT POSSIBLE TO SEND “PRIVATE” EMAILS VIA GOOGLE? I.E. EMAIL’S THAT ARE NOT VIEWABLE TO THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!?
asked September 24, 2013
I have just moved over from hotmail to gmail. The reason WHY I moved was because on hotmail, my account kept on getting hacked into – it seems it’s very easy to do on hotmail, as the hacker has to only know a few details about oneself :-(… my question is:- “Is it possible to send “private” email using gmail, and if so… HOW do you do it!? I recently found someone very important to myself and started conversing with her – only to find that MY sie of the conversation had been viewable to the whole wide world!? Obviously, HER side of the conversation was NOT viewable to the whole wide world, because she had set the settings to “shared privately” … I’m wanting to know HOW do you do that? HOW do you send emails using gmail that are NOT viewable to the whole wide world!? I am not some kind of secret agent, but I DO like to keep my personal life private – NOT on broadcast to the whole wide world.
Email's are private and definitely Gmail is private. Unless somebody knows password for your gmail account they cant see your emails.
If you feel your password is compromised it is better to reset the password and for additional security use the two factor authentication for improved security.
Hope this answers your question.
yes, thanks. I just needed reassurance that gmail WAS "private", I WILL definitely check out the ""links" you have provided above, (at a later date). JUST out of curiousity though, (because the "important person" who I'd found n gmail, DID have a label on the top of her emails to myself , saying "shared privately", HOW do you do that?) I've "google searched" HOW to do it, but the instructions they give, are really NOT very helpful at all :-(
